Focused on crafting ultra-premium, terroir driven red wines, Painted Rock Estate Winery was founded with a family legacy in mind by John and Trish Skinner in 2004. Named InterVin International Winery of the Year for 2018/2019, the winery produces primarily Bordeaux red varieties, along with a Chardonnay, Rosé and Syrah. The tasting room sits artfully atop their 56 acre Skaha Bench estate, located south of Penticton, and overlooks their vineyard and Skaha Lake. It is here that John personally welcomes visitors to taste the results of his family’s shared ambition of making Okanagan wines worthy of the international stage. Guests can book a tasting of the estate reds (reservations highly recommended) or drop in to relax on the patio with a bottle of wine and a cheese and charcuterie plate.
