Co-owners, Tim Watts and Bob Ferguson, first purchased land in Naramata in 1986 and commenced planting Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in the Spring of 1987. Their first commercial harvest came from those grapes in 1992. Now entering the 29th vintage Kettle Valley Winery have maintained a “hands-on” approach to all the aspects of family farm winery operations. While several of the vineyards are scattered about Naramata, they also farm a 14-acre block in Cawston, planted to Zinfandel, Syrah and Viognier under the name Great Northern Vineyards. You are invited to come by the tasting room and enjoy the wines made on the Naramata Bench for yourself.
